Terms & Condtions

  • No alterations or changes will be accepted Seven(7) Days prior to your event, unless otherwise arranged.
  • We will arrive about 3 hours 30 Minutes before agreed eating time and leave no later than 1 hour 15 minutes after eating time, unless otherwise arranged.
  • Please stick to the agreed eating time, we cannot and will not change it on the day of the event as we work on a very tight schedule. Please choose an accurate eating time. Any overtime will be charged at R200.00 per hour and must be paid in cash to the chef.
  • Please note that under no circumstances will any of our spitbraais or catering equipment be left behind at your event to extend eating time, please make provision for your own extra containers so that we can dish out all the left overs for you after you eating time has ended.
  • Ensure that your own cutlery, crockery and dishes are provided unless stated on the quotation.
  • If you booked cutlery & crockery with us, please count it with our staff upon our arrival as you will be billed for any shortages after your event. Please make sure that our cutlery, crockery and equipment does not mix with your own.
  • Our staff will only answer to 1 person who should be there upon arrival to show them where to set-up. They will also advise you on the best place to setup.
  • Please make sure that there is sufficient cover for the preparation area in case of bad weather. NB!!! It is not our responsibility to provide cover for the spitbraai and serving area. If we need to serve at night then please supply sufficient lighting for us to operate in.
  • Please ensure that you provide us with a dedicated water point to assist in our food preparation and so that we can wash hands throughout the day. We do supply our chefs with plastic gloves for preparation but a water-point is still needed.
  • Please ensure that you provide us with a dedicated electricity point, we do not take any responsibility for electricity cuts or load shedding. If you will be experiencing power outages, please be sure to arrange a backup power supply as our spitbraai requires electricity to run.
  • Kennedy Spitbraai Caterers or our staff will not be held responsible for any damage to your venue/property.
  • Our food portion sizes are sufficient and calculated according to the number of guests quoted for. You do however know your guests better than we do so if you feel they will need larger portions than please rather ask us to quote for more, remember you do keep all leftovers after the event.
  • Our staff will not braai any meat provided by yourself unless otherwise arranged prior to your event, you will be quoted for the preparation of your own meat.
  • None of our staff members are permitted to have any alcohol and should they be offered any alcohol we cannot be held responsible for their behaviour. Our staff are not allowed to ask for any tips, if you feel that they have served you well, then you are more than welcome to give them a tip on the day after their service is completed.

Payment Terms

  • We require a 50% deposit to secure your booking.
  • The balance must be paid 3 days (72 hours) prior to the date of the event.
  • For bookings made within Five(5) days of event – We require that the quote balance must be paid in full, we will only start arrangements for your event once the full payment reflects in our account.

Cancellations

  • All cancellations must be received via email. Date and time acknowledgment is the clients responsibility. Please call to be sure that your email was received.
  • Cancellations received up to Two weeks prior to your event: 50% of your paid deposit will be refunded.
  • Cancellations received less than Two weeks prior to your event will forfeit the entire deposit.
  • No cancellations will be accepted less than 5 days prior to your event
  • No postponements will not be accepted less than 5 days before your event.
